NYF_AerialThe New York Foundling, a charity that empowers thousands of low-income children and families to live independent, healthy and fulfilling lives, is embarking on an innovative business venture to raise money for children in the foster care system (some of the city’s most disadvantaged and underserved citizens) while supporting a New York-based or focused coffee business.

The Foundling will offer the right business partner up to 50% off market-rental rates, for 715 square-feet of prime retail space in Chelsea. With more than 47,000 people living/square mile, as compared to the average in New York City of just over 26,000/square mile, Chelsea is a prime location for a coffee venture.

Currently, the lobby and street-level retail space is undergoing a complete renovation. Any future tenant can customize the construction of the space including layout, plumbing, electrical planning, and overall aesthetics of the space.

The Foundling is looking for a partner who is socially conscious, established, and committed to excellence in serving your customers and the community. The ideal partner would be willing and able to give back a percentage of the location’s gross annual profits to further help The New York Foundling’s mission. Further, the Foundling asks that the coffee company consider hiring young adults aging out of the foster care system to work in this coffee shop location.

The partnership will be the ideal location for the coffee company to offer great tasting coffee while promoting the cause of proving New York’s children and families with loving and safe homes.

The partnership will establish a new model for how business and philanthropy can combine efforts to create synergies and financial value unattainable to both sides without the other.

The New York foundling is hoping to select a partner by mid-April. For more information, please email
