Getting My Iced Coffee Fix – and a bit of Almond Milk, too.

I’m a hot coffee drinker. Getting my fill in the morning then switching to tea in the late morning. Sparkling water takes me through dinner, when a glass of wine is my beverage of choice. Recently, I mixed things up a bit. After my morning coffee, and a brief bit of tea, I was in search of something that would satisfy me a bit more than my sparkling water addiction.

I turned to a Califia Farms Iced Coffee with Almond Milk. It took only two sips, and I was hooked.

According to Greg Steltenpohl, CEP of Califia Farms, I’m not the only one who is hooked.

“The cold brew method of processing coffee is growing in popularity and reputation,” says Steltenpohl. “The cold brewed method of processing coffee, is a delicious way to enjoy coffee, as it produces lower acidity and smoother taste.” He adds, “Many who used to drink hot coffee in the morning are looking for a more interesting way to start the day, and iced coffee is a more versatile coffee drink than its hot counterpart.”

But, he didn’t stop at iced coffee. Noticing there wasn’t a ready-to-drink iced coffee option on the market for vegan, non-soy drinkers, Steltonpohl mixed his Pure AlmondMilk with Fair Trade Arabica Beans and cold-brewed it for a coffee-house taste profile.

I think he’s on to something. The Califia Farms Iced Cafe Latte Iced Coffee with Almond Milk offered me a full-bodied flavor of coffee I wanted, and refreshed me with a sweetness and creaminess that hit the spot.  And along with my coffee, I’ll get the benefits of almond milk, because the Califia Farms’ AlmondMilk is made from whole blanched (not roasted) California almonds, giving a fresh, vibrant taste with more nutrients than the typical almond milks that are processed from roasted almonds.

And, because the iced coffee has no saturated fat, less sugar, is low in calories, vegan and Non-GMO project Verified, I felt a bit less guilty about my afternoon choice of beverage. I just may be adding iced coffee to my own personal favorite beverages list.

As the weather continues to warm up here in Northern California, I find myself reaching for my Califia Farms iced coffee. The only problem is, I have to choose which variety.

From smooth Café Latte to velvety rich Mocha, and with the powerful punch of Double Espresso in between, Califia FarmsPure Iced Coffee with Almondmilk is the healthy all-day answer to my energy needs.
